Zip's 1968 Corvette headlight & wiper door vacuum hose kits include correct pre-cut vacuum hoses and plastic T connectors to replace/repair all the vacuum components in your Corvette's vacuum system. Each kit includes the correct diameter hose, hose with raised ribs and the factory colored stripe, and its own vacuum diagram and directions specific for your 1968 Corvette. See our instructions online for help with your C3 Corvette's vacuum system. Zip's standard kits include wiper actuator hoses with molded ends as original. You shouldn't have to pay more for correct vacuum hoses. All hoses are proudly made in USA.
Zip Corvette has been producing C3 Corvette vacuum hose kits for Corvettes for over 20 years - our hoses are installed on more Corvette restorations than any other Corvette hose supplier. Each kit was developed from original Corvettes and will fit your Corvette just as the original hoses were designed. For example - headlight & wiper door vacuum hoses were installed on the vacuum actuator relays - outboard hoses first and then the center hose was installed on the longer center vacuum port. The center hose on the vacuum actuator does not fit down as low as the outer hoses. You can count on Zip for all your Corvette restoration needs.
Our technicians have determined that the installation difficulty level of this item is a 3 on a scale of 1-5. Read more about our install ratings here.
Almost no effort. Either snap on or plug and play. Probably no tools involved.
Simple installation with common tools. Probably less than 20 minutes for installation. Easy enough for
anyone who can read and follow instructions. A good first project for someone with no experience. Hard
to mess up.
A little mechanical experience is helpful but not necessary. Possibly a good first project for those with
a little more confidence. Will probably take more time (20-60 minutes) than #2.
Mechanical experience a definite plus. Not a good first project for the inexperienced. Most likely a 2-3
hour job minimum.
Only for the experienced wrench. Most likely requires good tool collection, possibly special tools and
a fair amount of experience. 95% of people will choose to have this installed by Zip or a professional.
