Original 2000-2004 Corvette headlight motors were ultrasonically welded when assembled from the factory. When replacing your Corvette's headlight gear, the headlight motor housing can not be glued AND maintain factory seal due to the release agent included into the plastic housings. But Zip has the fix for the do-it-yourselfer!
Headlight motor rebuilders developed a t-brace that will allow you to replace the headlight motor gear and utilize a 2-part epoxy for the sealing agent. The T-brace supports the housing to eliminate the possibility of the gear cover coming "unglued". Zip recommends the t-brace any time your disassembling the 2000-2004 Corvette headlight motor. Sold individually. Fits either LH or RH side.
