05-13 Sprint Booster Select V3 Power Converter
The C6 Corvette Sprint Booster Select V3 power converter will eliminate the delay between your Corvette's gas pedal and throttle body that is common on all drive by wire systems. Its purpose is to change the rate at which the throttle body opens in relation to gas pedal operation, which will decrease the amount of time it will take your Corvette to reach full throttle. The "Direct Response" helps improve reaction times at the drag strip and also allows you to throttle more accurately out of turns on the road course. The Sprint Booster gives real time control over the acceleration of your Corvette's engine and fits all 2005 and later C6 Corvettes including the Z06 & Grand Sport models.
The Sprint Booster includes a small switch that gives you the ability to choose from three different acceleration modes/presets; off, SPORT and RACE mode. With the stock "Off" setting, your C6 Corvette will perform as it did before the Sprint Booster was ever installed on your Corvette. Switch to SPORT mode and you will see an improved throttle response ideal for moderately aggressive driving, while RACE mode offers an even greater boost that is ideal for very aggressive driving. Mode selection takes place by depressing the main switch and each mode has it's own LED indicator light for easy identification.
SPORT and RACE modes also have their own set of individual "steps" allowing for each driver to fine-tune to their driving style. The LED indicator displays 9 different steps for each mode changing the program (SPORT or RACE) from least aggressive to most aggressive.
New Sprint Booster features include the "Pedal Lock" and "Valet" mode. Both modes are password protected allowing for the driver to "lock" the pedal against or unauthorized use OR limit the acceleration for "Valet" use. Peace of mind when someone else has the opportunity to be behind the wheel of your Corvette.
Installation of the Sprint Booster couldn't be easier - Simply insert the Sprint Booster into the accelerator pedal, plug the switch into the white socket of the Sprint Booster, mount the switch on the dash using the double sided tape, and secure the excess wire so it will not interfere with your foot or motion of the pedals. The Sprint Booster is not designed to add horsepower to your C6 Corvette but it will increase the throttle response allowing for much quicker acceleration out of turns or from a stop. With one installed, you can count on faster lap times at the track or better reaction times at the drag strip.
