06-13 Z06/GS Front 2pc Floating Brake Rotors

The full floating heavy duty rotors are designed for hardcore racing with extremely aggressive pads. The heavy duty rotor has a .360 wall thickness compared to the .250 thickness on our lighter 2-piece rotors. While the floating design allows the rotor to deal with the extreme heat issues commonly found between 2 different alloys - allowing the aluminum hat and cast iron disc to heat up with out causing distortion or risk in the form of a cracked rotor. Zip floating discs are attached to the rotor hat with a drive bobbin that provides additional clearance to allow the rotors to expand without binding the two different materials. Sold in pairs.

Note: Proper cooling needs to be used when road racing or participating in HPDE. Overheating brake rotors will cause premature wear, warping and possible failure. Zip recommends cooling ducts for all racing applications.
