The Detroit Speed Inc. Corvette IRS DECAlink rear suspension features Detroit Speed?s exclusive no compromise suspension geometry for superior handling and ride quality. It utilizes modern CV axle shafts and hub bearings so that suspension loads are no longer transmitted to the axle shafts. The two-piece aluminum/steel cradle assembly allows for easy differential housing removal. The suspension is offset inboard to allow for additional tire clearance.
The DECAlink? IRS works with an original 17-spline differential assembly. No body modifications are required on 1968-1979 Corvettes while the suspension is offset inboard for additional tire clearance. All suspension link lengths are adjustable and the kit has adjustments for rear anti-squat geometry and roll center height. The suspension points are hard mounted to eliminate stock rubber mounted suspension deflection.
Detroit Speed's Corvette rear suspension upgrade includes forged in the USA Detroit Speed aluminum uprights and a two-piece cast aluminum/steel cradle assembly which eases differential housing removal. DSE/JRi ?Detroit Tuned? Coilover shocks/springs allow spring rate tuning and ride height adjustments. The kit includes a rear anti-roll bar and uses OEM cross-axis pivot bushings at all pivot points, Torrington bearings and a spanner tool for easy spring height adjustments.
Detroit Speed DECAlink rear suspension designed for 1963-1979 features 17-spline axles, halfshafts designed for up to 600hp and double-adjustable shocks. Features 550lbs/in springs.
The DSE/JRi double adjustable racing shock is the most race winning shock JRi has in its stable. With its two independent adjustments and the enormous range of adjustment it can be set to the exacting demands of the driver and performance levels required while providing excellent ride quality on the street.
