Convert your 1967 Corvette manual steering to a fully electric steering system - just like the C7 Corvette! No more leaky power steering valves, no more difficult manual steering, no more struggling with the steering wheel at low speeds - the new Electric Power Steering Systems updates your mid-year Corvette with the very latest in automotive steering technology!
The EPAS electric conversion gives you full control over your Corvette's steering. The system includes 40amp motor designed to be installed into your Corvette's steering column (must cut factory column). The electric motor mounts under the dash, which maintains the original look of your Corvette's engine compartment. The EPAS kit includes a prewired control module with adjustable potentiometer - which allows you full control over your Corvette's steering. One of the many advantages of an electric steering system is the variable control depending on vehicle speed. More steering assist at low speed, less assist at high speed!
EPAS electric steering conversion includes all mounting hardware plus instructions and video help. Requires removal and cutting of original steering column. Approximately 8-10 hours for installation. Designed for non-power steering equipped Corvettes; Zip recommends converting to a manual steering relay rod/pitman arm and removing power steering components for factory power steering equipped Corvette conversion to the EPAS electric system.
