A worn out steering column taking the joy out of your Corvette cruising? Or maybe you just need a little more room behind the wheel of your C3 Corvette - but locating a good original tilt and tele column just hasn't been a successful endeavor. Problem solved! Flaming River's line of new direct fit bolt-in steering columns will solve both these problems.
All new steering column for 1969-1975 Corvettes utilizing the OEM style housing and a factory style dash mounting bracket. Add the benefit of tilt steering allowing for more room behind the steering wheel. Original style design including the 2" diameter tube. Features 1"-48 splined input shaft for connection to your factory column coupler. Collapsible design for added safety. Includes lock cylinder, ignition switch and turn signal lever. Designed to utilize your 1969-1975 Corvette's factory steering wheel, hub assembly (standard, non-tele) and horn button. Available in polished stainless.
Installation requires cutting factory column mount bracket off your original steering column. Or you can make installation easier by utilizing Flaming River's column firewall mount bracket (Zip # SC-922), column to dash bracket (Zip # SC-950) or Flaming River's complete column installation kit (Zip # SC-921). The installation kit includes firewall swivel mount plate, column dash bracket, billet-joint column coupler and wiring harness connector.
Also available in black powdercoat (Zip # SC-929) or paintable mill stainless (Zip # SC-930) for a truly custom look.
