Due to issues with water intrusion and belt placement on C3 Corvettes - factory seat belts are often found to be improperly working or totally frozen causing your Corvette to be a hazard when driving. Until recently, the only option was to search for a good set of used seat belts, or search the net or swap meets for a set of NOS seat belts. Realizing that if you found the right year and color, you'd probably have to give up your first born child in order to afford the cost. The only other option were generic lap belts or sending your original set off to be remanufactured, knowing that recovery from sticker shock was sure to be an issue.

• 7.5" inner buckle with "starburst" metal buckle
• Horizontal mount shoulder harness with updated retractor
• 7-panel seat belt webbing using the same stitch pattern as original

Note: 1970-1977 Corvette coupes came standard from the factory with shoulder harnesses, however this was not the case for 1970-1975 convertibles. Many convertibles left the factory with just lap belts as the shoulder harnesses were optional. Now you can upgrade your 1972-1973 Corvette convertible to include this factory option.

What's the difference between Economy and Reproduction Seat Belt Sets from Zip Corvette? "Economy" seat belt sets do not include inner buckle sleeves and color matched components such as web stops and plastic. Factory inner buckle sleeves can be reused or replaced with reproductions and black vinyl components can be dyed to match interior if desired. Economy seat belts are constructed of replacement 7-panel seat belt webbing and feature the "starburst" metal buckle instead of the GM buckle found on our reproduction sets. All seat belt sets go through the same testing procedures so you can be sure your installing quality safety components in your Corvette. "Economy" seat belt sets are designed for the Corvette enthusiast who is replacing their seat belts but does not desire fully color matched components or GM licensed buckles.
