New reproduction 1973-1979 Corvette side fender panel. Original style front fender panel. Manufactured from SMC. Specify LH or RH side when ordering.
1973-1982 Corvettes came from the factory with panels manufactured using a "Sheet Molded Compound". These SMC panels are a combination of fiberglass, resin, catalyst and release agent formed through a high-pressure mold. Panels are smoother than press molded fiberglass panels, with a marble-looking appearance, typically gray in color. Due to their materials, SMC panels require special adhesives for bonding.
