If your 1980-1981 Corvette is experiencing excessive tire wear or clutch chattering, worn differential side yokes are usually the culprit. Especially on shark era Corvettes as the factory stub axles were manufactured of a softer steel and therefore prematurely worn on the ends. Once the side axle has worn down past the retaining clip - the assembly could essentially slide in and out causing issues with alignment and tire wear.
Zip's new 1980-1981 Corvette differential side yokes are made of through hardened steel to reduce wear and eliminate these costly problems. U-joints attach with strap and bolts. Correct fitment for 1980-1981 Corvette with automatic transmission; uses 1/4" U-joint strap mount bolt. Specify LH or RH side when ordering.
