Original injectors used in 1985-1996 Corvettes are known to short out easily, which causes all sorts of running issues. We are now able to use the newer technology from Bosch which GM began using in the C5 Corvettes.

The Bosch III injectors have been modified so that they are a direct replacement for C4 Corvettes with a stock intake. They will not fit the new Edelbrock intake. What is a remanufactured injector?

A remanufactured injector is a fuel injector that has been professionally cleaned using a specially designed machine that is designed to clean the inside of an original fuel injector. First, factory filter baskets and o-rings are removed from the top of the injector housing. Once removed, the injector goes through an external wash to clean the outside housing. Then the injector is submerged in a ultrasonic bath with a proprietary solution that helps clean the outside and the inside of the injector. Once finished the injector is flushed, by being connected to an injector control circuit while being partly submerged into the ultrasonic cleaner. The injector is pulsed with multiple pulses for about 15 minutes, which removes all contaminants from the inside of the injector. Once this process is finished the new o-rings and filters baskets are installed. Lastly, the fuel injector is put through its paces on a flow bench to ensure it is flowing within the factory specifications. This remanufacturing process guarantees that your Corvette receives a matched set of injectors that will provide both the fuel efficiency and performance.
