Now you can replace your C4 Corvette Ignition lock cylinder and keep your factory VATS system in working order. Original ignition lock cylinders were all the same for 1986-1988 Corvette and 1989-1996 automatic Corvettes. These lock cylinders read the resistance in the VATS key and then sent the information to the ECU. New lock cylinders feature a "test" key that can be used to cut a new VATS style key.
Need a new VATS key to replace your Corvette's factory keys. Zip has available new factory GM keys with the resistor that can be purchased and cut to match your Corvette's ignition. Simply measure the resistance of the key and order as needed. See new part # LK-383.
