Invented by Rebecca Beal after a trip to Palm Springs in her then-new C5 convertible, the Vette Net was the first GM-authorized wind deflector for Corvette. Rebecca came up with the idea for Vette Net because of a life-long dream: to drive down the highway with the top down, radio up, and sunglasses on in her Corvette. After waiting many years, she bought a pewter-colored ‘99 convertible and took off for Palm Springs. After two hours on the highway, she was irritated. She couldn’t hear her radio; the wind was maddening. She had to do something. Eventually, a company in Riverside, CA which specialized in modifying cars for handicapped persons, helped Rebecca tweak her design to be both simple and aerodynamic. Every piece was handmade and fit perfectly in the C5. Corvette Quarterly and Vette Magazine picked up the story, and Vette Net was known the world over. Zip is proud to offer the Vette Net for C5, C6, and C7 Corvette convertibles, and recognizes Vette Net as the original Corvette wind break.
