Carbotech Engineering C5 & C6 Corvette high-performance brake pads are built using a proprietary 3-stage chemical bonding and riveting process. All of the companys trackproven friction compounds work in a wide range of temperatures, offer low wear, and are rotor friendly. Carbotech's family of brake compounds allow for fine tuning of your Corvette's braking characteristics depending on a specific enthusiasts application and use.
XP24 is the pinnacle compound of the extremely successful XP Series of compounds engineered by Carbotech. This compound is based on the same fundamentals that exist in all other Carbotech formulations. XP24 has even more initial bite, more overall bite, and more torque along with the most linear torque curve we have ever offered. The thermal characteristics are of the highest Carbotech offers along with one of the highest coefficient of friction ratings offered by anyone in the braking industry. This compound is the longest wearing compound Carbotech offers as it was originally engineered for endurance applications at the highest pro racing levels. This revolutionary new compound has been extremely successful with open wheel, closed wheel, sprint and endurance applications. XP24 has a temperature range of 400F to 2000F+ (204C to 1093C+). Carbotech XP24 is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise along with the necessary heat required to work properly.
The XP24 brake pad material is designed for operating temperatures around 1000 degrees. Due to this required level of heat the brake pads are designed for front brake applications only. Your Corvette will not generate enough heat in the rear to allow this compound to work correctly.
Note: Fits all 1997-2013 Corvettes except C6 Z06, ZR1 and Grand Sport models.

Carbotech’s brake pads are unique. Carbotech’s compound is a proprietary blend of carbon, ceramic, and kevlar materials which are blended to outperform rival products. When Carbotech first entered the business, they made pads just like everyone else; they mixed carbon and iron. After 15 years, Carbotech’s R&D team achieved their breakthrough, and today, Carbotech is the Official Brake Pad of the United States Endurance Racing Association. R&D is a way of life at Carbotech, and they’re constantly developing better compounds for both street and racing applications.
