66-82 SPAL 16in Electric Fan Kit
1966-1982 Corvette SPAL electric fan package includes a 16" high performance SPAL "pull" fan, custom designed bracket kit and SP195FH relay wiring harness and coolant sensor. This SPAL fan provides 2360 cfm @ 21.6 amps. SPAL fan kit brackets are designed to fit "large core" radiators as found on 1966-1972 427/454 Corvettes or 1968-1972 Corvettes with air condition or auto transmission and all 1973-1982 Corvettes including factory GM copper/brass as well as aftermarket aluminum radiators.
Note: This fan kit is designed to "supplement" the stock fan and shroud. It does not provide enough surface area to eliminate the shroud and/or engine driven fan when the core is larger than 23" wide.
Auxiliary fan kits are designed to turn on at 195F based on the output of the temperature sensor. Some aftermarket air condition systems prefer the fans to be turned on when the air condition system is engaged. Forcing the fans to turn on in an effort to keep the air condition system functioning at its highest level. For air condition equipped Corvettes, if the desire is to turn the fans on when the air condition is engaged, an additional SPAL relay wiring harness kit must be purchased.
