Customers who have purchased a product sold on an exchange basis and had a core deposit applied must return the required rebuildable core within 30 days from the date of shipment. A copy of the original invoice must accompany the return. Failure to return cores within 30 days may result in a reduction or loss of the core deposit. Return freight for cores is the responsibility of the customer.

Return your 1965-1976 Corvette's rear suspension to its original condition without having to purchase an expensive set of one-time use tools or gain the knowledge needed to set-up your Corvette's rear wheel bearings. Zip's rebuilt trailing arms will eliminate the hassle!

Zip's in-house rebuilding service includes a complete disassembly and inspection of all components. This is where you gain confidence with Zip - because we won't rebuild a trailing arm assembly that doesn't meet factory specifications. Trailing arms are checked for rust and scale, spindles are verified for correct bearing surfaces, twisting and thread damage and bearing supports and caliper mount brackets are checked for cracks. This inspection ensures the integrity of the parts used to rebuild your trailing arm assembly.

Our own skilled technicians then clean all components, powder coat the trailing arm and correctly install a new trailing arm bushing. The wheel bearing assembly set-up to GM specifications with all new Timken wheel bearings, inner & outer bearing seals, spindle shim and spacer. Assembly is completed with a new bearing dust shield, park brake back-plate (silver), park brake shoes and stainless park brake hardware. Park brake components are adjusted to the new disc brake rotor. Our new rotors guarantee run-out is kept to within correct tolerances.

Notes: 1965-1976 Corvette trailing arm/wheel bearing assemblies will include the correct spindle yoke pre-installed and torqued to the proper specification.

Rear sway bars were originally a factory option. Not all reconditioned trailing arms will include a rear swaybar link bracket. If your order arrives and one or both brackets are missing, they can easily be added. See Zip #SU-330.

Park brake back-plate features original silver cadmium finish found on C2 & early C3 Corvettes. Includes GM part number, but does not include the Delco Moraine stamping as found on original backplates.

Rebuilt trailing arms are sold on exchange and will incur a $375.00 core charge if purchased prior to sending your original trailing arms to Zip. All cores will be checked for rebuildable components and a deduction of core charge will occur for non-rebuildable components. See Zip's Trailing Arm & Wheel Bearing Core Return guidelines under the download tab for more information. Trailing arm cores are the responsibility of the customer to return.
