Our high quality 1984-1990 C4 Corvette Timken front wheel bearings will allow you to save greatly over high priced AC Delco units. If you have been ignoring sure signs of a bad hub assembly such as alignment issues, premature tire wear, increased vibration and noise because you don't want to settle for a cheap aftermarket bearing and you are not ready to spend hundreds of dollars on an AC Delco Corvette wheel bearing, then our new Timken hub assemblies may be exactly what you are looking for. Preset from the factory, our Timken Corvette wheel bearings can be easily installed by any respectable mechanic or shop. Priced each.
Our technicians have determined that the installation difficulty level of this item is a 4 on a scale of 1-5. Read more about our install ratings here.
Almost no effort. Either snap on or plug and play. Probably no tools involved.
Simple installation with common tools. Probably less than 20 minutes for installation. Easy enough for
anyone who can read and follow instructions. A good first project for someone with no experience. Hard
to mess up.
A little mechanical experience is helpful but not necessary. Possibly a good first project for those with
a little more confidence. Will probably take more time (20-60 minutes) than #2.
Mechanical experience a definite plus. Not a good first project for the inexperienced. Most likely a 2-3
hour job minimum.
Only for the experienced wrench. Most likely requires good tool collection, possibly special tools and
a fair amount of experience. 95% of people will choose to have this installed by Zip or a professional.
In 1890s, Henry Timken, a carriage maker in St. Louis, Missouri, recognized that heavy freight wagons had a difficult time making sharp turns. To solve the problem, he applied a tapered roller bearing design that could handle both radial (weight) and thrust (cornering force) loads. The results were encouraging and provided several customer benefits. To this day, Timken still strives to provide high-quality products to it’s customers. As the leading authority on tapered roller bearings, The Timken Company applies its deep knowledge of metallurgy, tribology and mechanical systems to improve the reliability and efficiency of equipment, machinery and vehicles worldwide.
