Because 86 and later Corvettes have specially coded ignition keys, it makes good sense to have a couple of spares. To order a key, have your logo GM dealer measure the resistance on your key(it will be a 1 through 15 value code) and add that code to our part number. We'll ship you the correct key, which can then be cut by a local locksmith. It's as easy as that.
