The 100% bolt-on system includes a Vortech V3 Si head unit which is recommended for all stock engines or engines with mild modifications only. (headers, camshaft, etc.) The Si head units are the most efficient model available for the 500 to 700 horsepower range. Units are available in a highly polished or satin black finish.
Belt wrap is the key to eliminating belt slip and A&As proprietary bracket system offers more stiffness than any other system on the market. Brackets are CNC machined from high quality 6061 aluminum plate and fly cut on both sides to assure absolute consistency in thickness. The cylinder head mount has 4 mounting points to eliminate rotation from under extreme forces. This is imperative for proper belt alignment and consistent performance.
The C7 Corvette system includes a "Ram Air" intercooler as large as practical for a C7 Corvette, but it's the placement and attention given to airflow management which is unmatched. An intercooler must have as much ambient airflow through the core area as possible to be efficient. The C7 Corvette's radiator cavity is literally a high-pressure area created by the well-sealed grill opening. The A&A intercooler lays flat and is hidden by the bumper cover. An aluminum scoop is welded to the intercooler which directs the incoming air stream through the intercooler and out the bottom. All air grabbed by the scoop is literally rammed through the intercooler.
The inlet duct from our high flow air filter to the supercharger inlet is designed with superior airflow in mind. The curves are smooth and cross sectional area is large. This all translates into lower inlet temps and more power output.
The new A&A C7 Corvette Supercharger kit includes a fully machined SFI approved balancer with interchangeable lower pulleys. The balancer design allows the system to use a dedicated 8-rib belt without interference from the water pump or alternator belt.
Fit and finish is second to none. All brackets, ductwork and the Vortech supercharger is finished to perfection. All visible couplers are high quality silicone and/or are polished stainless steel.
The fuel system on the C7 Corvette will not require modification for this supercharger.
A&A Vortech Supercharger systems are CARB certified. System includes custom programming; ECM must be sent to A&A upon installation for programming to be installed. ECM will then be returned to complete installation.
