The Zero7 carbon hood is a lightweight, rigid, 100% Aerospace Grade carbon fiber hood - a true paragon of modern design and technology. Designed by ACS to highlight the style and performance of the Corvette Stingray. The Extractor Hood includes a true waterfall feature that drops into the Corvette's factory radiator duct work. An ABS plastic octagonal mesh grill insert protects the ductwork. The additional 30mm taller center section and longer cowl not only creates extra engine clearance (for a potential top mounted supercharger) but also provides an aggressive look which will surely make your Corvette stand tall on the show field.
ACS' carbon fiber hood is produced with 2x2 twill carbon fiber. Both the upper and lower sections are full carbon. Panels are then trimmed using a CNC robotic water jet for a clean, smooth cut on every part. The result is better fitting panel, reducing body shop installation and fitment times. Standard hoods are designed to be completely painted, but the hoods are also available with an optional exposed carbon center section. Perfect for those who want to show the world their carbon styling.
ACS Corvette hood's feature OEM brackets mounted to the inner structure of the hood to insure a ready to bolt on part. The ACS Corvette hoods have another feature not found in aftermarket Corvette hoods but is present on the stock hood, reinforcements at the rear of the hood for the hood bumpers and the crash tabs. These brackets create the reinforcement necessary in a front end collision to cause the hood to fold in half instead of coming through the windshield. ACS is an OEM manufacturer producing hoods for the SLP Camaros and the GT-40 FORD.
