2015-2019 Z06/GS Carbotech XP24 Front Brake Pads
XP24 is the pinnacle compound in the highly successful XP Series, engineered by Carbotech. This compound is based on the same fundamentals as all other Carbotech formulations. XP24 has even more initial bite, more overall bite, and more torque, along with the most linear torque curve we have ever offered. The thermal characteristics are among the highest Carbotech offers, along with one of the highest coefficient of friction ratings in the braking industry. This compound is the longest-wearing Carbotech offers, engineered for endurance applications at the highest pro racing levels. This revolutionary new compound has been extremely successful across open-wheel, closed-wheel, sprint, and endurance applications. XP24 has a temperature range of 400F to 2000F+ (204 °C to 1093 °C+). Carbotech XP24 is NOT recommended for daily street use due to possible elevated dust and noise levels, along with the heat required to work properly.
The XP24 brake pad material is designed for operating temperatures around 1000 degrees. Due to this required level of heat, the brake pads are designed for front brake applications only. Your Corvette will not generate enough heat in the rear to allow this compound to work correctly.
