2015-2019 Z06/GS (J56) Hawk HPS 5.0 Front Brake Pads

The goal with High Performance Street 5.0. was to improve pedal feedback, noise, brake torque, and dust control. While not a replacement for Hawk's HPS product, it is a change that allows the driver to challenge themselves and their Corvette with a new and unique driving feel.

Too much brake torque, and your ABS goes into ICE mode; too little, and there is no improvement. This ferro-carbon compound combines the safety and quality of aerospace design, partnered with the braking technology of motorsports. The results include shorter stopping distances, improved performance under heavy braking, and street-friendly characteristics.

As standard brake pads wear, brake dust is generated by the friction material during everyday braking. Hawk High Performance Street 5.0 brake pads are formulated to produce and release extremely low levels of dust in normal street driving conditions, while remaining very quiet.

Note: Hawk Performance burnishes its High Performance Street brake pads as a final step at the factory, but all brake pads must be bedded-in with the rotors (new or used) they will be used against. Proper bedding-in of new brake pads results in the formation of a transfer film at the pad-rotor interface, thereby maximizing brake performance.
