1973-1978 Corvettes from the factory had round case mufflers, which can be seen below your rear valance or bumper. From 1979-1982, GM went back to an oval case muffler, similar to what was used in 1963-1972.These mufflers were tucked up under the car and were not visible under your bumper. Corvette Central has designed a line of direct-fit, 1974-1978 oval mufflers, so you don't have to live with your muffler "ridin' low."We call these "Hideaway." Try a set of these Corvette Central improved design mufflers!
Hangers and tips are not included (the tip is part of the muffler on 1974's). Exhaust system components are made from 14 gauge (.070) aluminized pipes.323376 1974-1979 2 1/2" Hideaway Mufflers 323561 1970-1974 Big Block 4-Speed Front Exhaust Pipes 323547 1968-1979 2 1/2" 4-Speed Intermediate Pipes
