All electronic tachometers feature a well-designed module that allows them to be used with a host of applications. With the flip of the dip switches your electronic tach can read everything between a GM hi-energy distributor to the computer system and sensors on a full blown LS conversion. They have proven to be dependable and very accurate. One of the advantages of buying a completely assembled tachometer is that every module has been specifically calibrated to the tach face that is being used. Calibration is handled through a digital square wave generator, ensuring that when you drop-in a new electronic tachometer there is no guess work on engine rpm.
