Original style 1968-1975 Corvette convertible tack strip sets are made of the same type fiber board that was originally used on your C3 Corvette's convertible top frame. Each piece is cut to the final length and the holes, slots, and notches are correctly located for direct replacement. Tack strips were used to anchor the staples holding the canvas to the frame.
The original 1968-1975 Corvette convertible top center bow includes a similar piece of material that is stitched into the bow, raising the height of the tack strip. Please do not remove this piece of material as it is not included in the new tack strip kit.
