69-70E Left Front Spark Plug Outer Ignition Shield

Ignition shields were originally designed to help reduce interference on radio equipped Corvettes. However, they were often removed during regular engine tune-ups as many found them difficult to reinstall and not worth their time, especially on Corvettes with the tendency to foul plugs. Zip's shields are just like the originals, allowing you to replace these often tossed factory components.

Note: It's important to remember that factory ignition shielding was not originally designed for a show chrome appearance. Shields were designed for a specific purpose, radio interference. Plated shields were "flash chromes" which sometimes yields areas that were not completely plated and yet that's exactly how the factory shields appeared.
