New reproduction 1970-1982 Corvette spark plug wire lower ignition shield - shield attaches to the underside of the engine block and covers the spark plug wires as the route to the front plugs. Specify LH or RH side when ordering.
Ignition shields were originally designed to help reduce interference on radio equipped Corvettes. However, they were often removed during regular engine tune-ups as many found them difficult to reinstall and not worth their time, especially on Corvettes with the tendency to foul plugs. Zip's shields are just like the originals, allowing you to replace these often tossed factory components.
Note: 1970-1982 Corvette lower spark plug wire shields are for use with locking style engine mounts.
