81 Headlight Wiring Harness (Digital Radio)

Reproduction 1981 Corvette headlight and forward lamp wiring harness. Correct fitment for Corvettes with digital radio. Attaches to main dash wiring harness at the firewall and connects to many of the components in the lighting circuit going forward. Connects to the following components:

• Alternator
• Brake Pressure Warning Switch
• Carburetor Electric Choke
• Carburetor Idle Stop Solenoid
• Dash Harness Connection (at firewall)
• Engine Hood Light Connection
• Front Cornering Light (driver & passenger side)
• Front Parking Light (driver & passenger side)
• Ground (alternator)
• Ground (to body mount bracket)
• Headlights (driver & passenger side)

• Horn Ground (bolt on header support)
• Temperature Sending Unit

Note: 1981-1982 Corvette forward lamp harness vary depending on whether the alternator power harness was included in the forward lamp or not. This harness was used on Corvettes with the digital radio and oil temperature gauge in center console. The harness does not include the alternator or battery charging circuit and requires the use of the alternator to rear accessory junction block harness part # E-880.

Over time the plastic deteriorates, becoming brittle and cracked, allowing moisture to get into the wire, which in turn causes the copper to begin corroding.
