The 1984-1990 Corvette front air deflector or lower grill valance panel brace attaches to the radiator lower air baffle in the middle to give support to the front air deflector. If your car's brace is missing it can raise the temperature of the engine significantly. This deflector brace is a reproduction of the 1986 and later model which was engineered to be heavier than the flimsy 1984-1985 style braces.
