Reproduction 1990-1992 LT5 Corvette oil pan gasket - designed to take advantage of increased flange space plus this gasket has the same compressed thickness as an OEM GM pan gasket.
Precision, die-cut gasket, utilizing original engine drawings for dimensions. If the pan gasket compressed thickness is greater than OEM, severe engine damage may occur due to oil pump cavitation. Includes oil pump suction tube O-ring (GM # 10106189). OEM oil pump O-ring was found to be insufficiently compressed in accordance with design standards. new O-ring seals have an increased cross-section to insure an effective seal. This seal is located in the oil pan & does not require any additional disassembly to replace.
Our LT5 oil pan gasket have been improved over OEM gasket by increasing the width in the front & rear of the gasket to take full advantage of the available mating flange area to help prevent leakage common to the OEM-GM gasket. This pan gasket is made from Pro-Formance/MicroPore, non-asbestos gasket material with a fully cured nitrile butadiene rubber binder, 12 20% compressibility for excellent seal ability and a max temp rating of 550F.
