The C8 Corvette entered its second model year with small, but meaningful, updates.The 2021 C8 Corvette Stingray was well equipped to continue Corvette's legacy as America's Sports Car.

The 2021 Corvette featured a 490-hp mid-mounted V-8 engine. Designed to sit lower for better handling on tracks and highways, the engine employed a standard dry-sump system to enhance performance when g-forces are high. Top speed clocked at 194 mph and 0-60 in 2.9 seconds.

Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and the Buckle to Drive safety features became standard in 2021 Corvettes. Blue, orange, red, and yellow dual full-length racing stripes became available with the 2021 model and Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat and Silver Flare Metallic joined the exterior color options.

Despite expectations that Chevrolet would increase prices in 2021, the automaker kept entry-level pricing for the C8 Corvette around $60,000 for the 2021 model year. Adding trim options and power packages pushed the price to the $80,000 range.

A total of 26,216 Corvettes were built for the 2021 model year with coupes making up 58% (15,112) versus the convertibles 42% (11,104). This was the highest convertible take rate since 1969!
