00-04 Headlight Motor Shim Washers

GM TSB Number 00-08-42-002 called for the installation of special steel washers designed to move the 2000-2004 headlight motor over so the headlight lift arm would hit the insulators (bumper stops) better. At that time, many customers complained about that the left front headlamp door would not remain closed after the headlamps are turned off.

Now you can add these washers to fix your late-design C5 Corvette headlight operations without having to the use the large bulky washer GM provides under GM # 11505463. Zip's 3-piece washer/shim kit includes (3) specially designed washers that perfectly fit the plastic headlight motor housing making the installation look seamless.

Note: We suggest using these washers with our upgraded bumper stops. Washers are only used on the driver side headlight motor and are not required on the passenger side. These washers are included in our 2000-2004 Corvette headlight motor brass gear & rebuild kit.
