Original 1997-2004 C5 Corvettes came from the factory with TruVette carpet mounted to a hard rubber mass backing. Zip Corvette has available an exact reproduction in all factory original colors. The carpet sets feature correct molded contours for proper fitment, color molded heel pads and serged bindings. Full carpet sets include molded front floor pans, computer cover, seat riser, rear wheel wells/floor pan and 3-compartment covers. Does not include the replacement carpet that mounts on the plastic for the rear tail light panel. TruVette carpet is a very light and very plush carpet made of 100% solution dyed nylon and is the exact material originally used for the 1991-2004 Chevrolet Corvette. Available in all factory colors. Specify color when ordering.
All 1997-2004 Corvette carpet sets are manufactured with the original-style mass backing. Mass backing was Chevrolet's design enhancement to insulate the C5 interior compartment from both noise and heat. The heavy rubber carpet backing was molded to the rear of the carpet and provided the fit, comfort and acoustical properties they desired.
