With any high performance vehicle such as your C6 Corvette, comes equally high expectations. When you drop the hammer, nothing beats the pure American V8 roar and feeling of instant acceleration. However, you have probably noticed yourthrottle response is much less than instant. This is due to the late model Corvette utilizing an electronic throttle control system, also known as drive by wire. Things like pedal sensitivity, stability control and traction control systems all factor into the final throttle signal to the ECU (engine control unit). ECU communication with these various systems creates a noticeable lag or delay in throttle response when it's go time.
