New reproduction 1962-1963 Corvette spark plug RH outer ignition shield - shield attaches to the engine block with wing bolts and cover the factory spark plug and spark plug wire. Single shield covers both front and rear spark plugs on 1962-1963 Corvette.
Ignition shields were originally designed to help reduce interference on radio equipped Corvettes. However, they were often removed during regular engine tune-ups as many found them difficult to reinstall and not worth their time, especially on Corvettes with the tendency to foul plugs. Zip's shields are just like the originals, allowing you to replace these often tossed factory components.
