Over time the t-top pads or door panels are often found hanging low or barely holding on. Typically the issue is caused by broken or damaged fasteners; extreme temperatures cause the plastic retainers to become brittle, the "hooks" begin to fall out and the headliners or door panels won't stay attached. These door panel or t-top panel retainers include plastic posts on the rear for correct attachment to the panel. See Zip # I-2947 for the retainer mounted specifically on the fiberglass door or t-top.
Zip sells these fasteners individually or in sets. See Zip # I-1607 for a 16-piece kit to cover the t-top interior panels. The same fastener is used in multiple locations throughout the interior of your 1968-1977 Corvette. 1968-1977 door panel application uses 5 per side.

Installation difficulty: 1
Our technicians have determined that the installation difficulty level of this item is a 1 on a scale of 1-5. Read more about our install ratings here.
Almost no effort. Either snap on or plug and play. Probably no tools involved.
Simple installation with common tools. Probably less than 20 minutes for installation. Easy enough for
anyone who can read and follow instructions. A good first project for someone with no experience. Hard
to mess up.
A little mechanical experience is helpful but not necessary. Possibly a good first project for those with
a little more confidence. Will probably take more time (20-60 minutes) than #2.
Mechanical experience a definite plus. Not a good first project for the inexperienced. Most likely a 2-3
hour job minimum.
Only for the experienced wrench. Most likely requires good tool collection, possibly special tools and
a fair amount of experience. 95% of people will choose to have this installed by Zip or a professional.
