Shark-era Corvettes are commonly found with the rust birdcage body supports and floor pans due to water leaking through windshield post or frame assembly. Water collects under the frame moldings and in the channels, causes rust through, which then allows water to leak into the interior compartment. Repair can only be properly done by cutting out the original rusted components and welding in a new windshield frame.
Zip's new reproduction 1968-1982 windshield frame lower frame gusset supports will repair the frame area at the top of the hinge pillar area. Must be welded into the original side post assembly. Fits both coupe and convertible. Made in the USA.
