Steering gear boxes are not the first item you think about when changing fluids or lubricants. The result is years worth of inadequate lubrication causing rough spots or tightness throughout the turning ratio. Which is only enhanced over time due to Corvettes that sit around without being exercised properly. Heck, we've even seen water come out of steering boxes when opening them up. Zip's new replacement 1969 Late-1982 Corvette steering box is completely assembled in ready for installation. This steering box has the factory 16:1 turning ratio and 3/4"-30 spline input shaft. A true direct replacement steering gear box for your 1969L-1982 Corvette. Correct for both power and non-power steering Corvette applications.

Note: 1969 Late-1982 Corvette steering boxes have a worm gear with a "flat" area at the connection for the column coupler.
