The fan clutch eliminator is a solid mount replacement for your Corvette's stock fan clutch. The fan clutch eliminator will prevent engine overheating caused by insufficient airflow through the radiator. Fan clutches were originally designed to slip, reducing power robbing drag on the engine. Improving both horsepower and fuel efficiency. However, overtime fan clutches lose their efficiency, slipping prematurely and causing engine temperature to gradually increase. The result is either the purchase of a new fan clutch assembly or risk an overheating situation.
The fan clutch eliminator replaces the stock fan clutch and forces the fan to always turn at the same speed as the engine, therefore always pulling air through the radiator and eliminating the engine heat. The fan clutch eliminator has no moving parts to wear out. Includes all mount hardware from the water pump to the fan blade assembly. Fits all 1971-1982 Corvettes.
