Zip's reproduction 1978-1982 Corvette gas tanks are manufactured using corrosion resistant steel. These tanks are exact including shape, welds, indents, vents and connections. Tanks are designed to assure total satisfaction and performance. A new gas tank will ensure that your C3 Corvette no longer deals with debris, rust or sludge that can build-up in your Shark Corvette's fuel system. Approximate 24 gallon capacity.
1978-1982 Corvette fuel tanks do not include the plastic bladder as original. Bladders are not required. Tanks features built-in mount nuts for sending unit and includes sending unit gasket and sending unit mount hardware to complete installation.
Note: This gas tank CAN be used on 1978-1982 Corvettes when converting or upgrading to an electronic fuel injection system, such as the FiTech fuel injection system. To complete the conversion - use the factory 1982 Corvette sending unit with an upgraded fuel pump (Zip suggests Walbro 255) since this included the in-tank fuel pump and fuel return line.
