97-04 Borla Performance X-Pipe
The Borla Performance is a perfect compliment to the famous Borla Exhaust Systems and is even lighter than the stock mid-pipe section. The main reason for this is due to the aircraft-grade T-304 lightweight stainless steel used in every BORLA exhaust component. Additional attributes include an extremely simple, bolt-in replacement for the factory mid-pipe that further enhances that famous Borla growl of power. Fits all 1997-2004 Corvettes including LS1 and LS6 models.
C5 Corvettes are now 10-15 years old and because of age and use, they are showing signs wear in several areas. Zip has found one of these areas to be the mid-pipe exhaust section on all 1997-2004 Corvettes. If you are considering upgrading your Corvettes exhaust or bolting on a set of aftermarket mufflers you should pay close attention to your Corvettes mid-pipe or specifically the flanges bolting the mid-pipe to the muffler pipes. Weve found several instances where this flange is cracked or broken due to many years of undercarriage vibration. If youre considering upgrading your mufflers, then it may be wise for your to consider the installation of a new X-pipe at the same time.
