The C5 Corvette Mantic 9000 twin disc clutch is an excellent choice for the Corvette owners who are looking to maintain pure street drivability with the added reliability and power transfer of a twin disc clutch. An excellent upgrade from the factory Z06 clutch assembly. Fits 1997-2004 Corvettes including Z06 models.
The Mantic 9000 series clutch is a twin disc, 9 (225mm) diameter modular clutch that is designed for street driven Corvettes. Mass is critical for a high performance clutch to produce the expected level of performance, and Mantic offers low mass clutches to allow you to optimize your Corvettes performance to your personal driving style.
The key to the 9000 SERIES street drivability is a sprung center cushioned organic disc. It is the entry-level disc that offers better than OE engagement and pedal feel while still providing a higher torque capacity. Pedal effort remains low with only approximately 12-15% increase over the OE clutch pedal feel. The Mantic Organic clutch kits offer up to 607 ft-lbs of torque capacity at the Crank, roughly 500-525 ft lbs at the wheels.
Mantic 9000 series are low MOI (Moment of Inertia) twin disc clutches that offer a level of performance not only superior to a single disc unit, but also allow you to select options that best suit your individual needs. Twin disc clutches increase the amount of torque transmitted while decrease the pedal effort to operate the clutch. Overall weight is decreased as the 9000 SERIES clutch weighs in at 34.8lbs. All 9000 SERIES clutches are made with premium quality materials designed to perform and last the distance. Each clutch kit includes a SFI rated billet steel flywheel, flywheel mounting bolts, aluminum pressure plate, sprung street organic disc and alignment tool.
