This driveshaft fits all 2005-2008 C6 Corvettes with manual transmissions. Unlike the factory aluminum driveshaft, you will not have to worry about vibration issues caused by bent driveshafts or all-out failures. The stock aluminum shaft can also "whip" at high RPM's, which eventually leads to a bent or broken driveshaft.
Upgrading to a carbon fiber driveshaft will eliminate these possibilities as it does not change shape at high RPM's. In the event that a driveline failure causes the driveshaft to fail, a carbon shaft will "broom," polishing the inside of the torque tube instead of causing a complete failure. If you are involved in any type of racing, this is a must; street cars will also see an increase in acceleration by the reduction of rotating weight.
1997-2000 Corvettes can upgrade to a carbon fiber driveshaft by also upgrading the factory 10mm torque tube to the later 12mm design.
