The C6 Corvette Mantic HD 9000 twin disc clutch is an excellent choice for the performance modified Corvette owners who are looking for performance track usability while maintaining street drivability. An excellent upgrade over the factory ZR1 clutch assembly for Corvettes making large amounts of power. Fits 2005-2013 Corvettes including Z06 and Grand Sport models. Does not fit ZR1 LS9 Corvette.
The Mantic 9000 series clutch is a twin disc, 9" (225mm) diameter modular clutch that is designed for street driven Corvettes. Mass is critical for a high performance clutch to produce the expected level of performance, and Mantic offers low mass clutches to allow you to optimize your Corvettes performance to your personal driving style. The HD diaphragm 9000 series clutch provides for up to 1010ft lbs of torque drive capability with only a 30% increase in pedal effort. Pedal pressure increases from 10lbs to 14lbs which is almost unnoticeable.
Mantic 9000 series are low MOI (Moment of Inertia) twin disc clutches that offer a level of performance not only superior to a single disc unit, but also allow you to select options that best suit your individual needs. Twin disc clutches increase the amount of torque transmitted while decrease the pedal effort to operate the clutch. Overall weight is decreased as the 9000 SERIES clutch weighs in at 34.8lbs. All 9000 SERIES clutches are made with premium quality materials designed to perform and last the distance. Each clutch kit includes a SFI rated billet steel flywheel, flywheel mounting bolts, aluminum pressure plate, sprung street Cerametallic disc and alignment tool.
The key to the 9000 SERIES street drivability is the sprung street Cerametallic discs. These discs are designed for high performance engines and enthusiastic driving styles, while allowing excellent drivability when needed. The sprung center cushioned button type disc offers a level of performance above organic discs, with little compromise in driving style and usage.
