The C6 Corvette Vortex Rammer kit replaces the restrictive stock air box assembly. This revolutionary air cleaner contains an internal vortex velocity stack which obtains cool, pressurized air from the radiator cavity through your modified shroud. Air is then forced through a sealed box, where in turn, it directly injects cold air into your intake. Lowering intake manifold air temperature by almost 30 Degrees and you know that cold air means more power. Results have already shown up to 36HP and 38FT/LBS at the flywheel. Running at speed has given an additional up to 10 more HP due to the air being forced in. This is from the benefit of the pressurized air that is created at high speeds (which means there will be more horsepower at speeds over 35 MPH. 1/4 mile tests showed 3 MPH and .30 quicker E.T.
This kit includes the air filter, sealed air box, and a one-piece power duct from the MAF sensor to throttle body. Instructions included. This unit has a carbon fiber laminate for an added look to your engine compartment. Fits all 2006-2013 LS7 & LS3 Corvettes.

Installation difficulty: 3
Our technicians have determined that the installation difficulty level of this item is a 3 on a scale of 1-5. Read more about our install ratings here.
Almost no effort. Either snap on or plug and play. Probably no tools involved.
Simple installation with common tools. Probably less than 20 minutes for installation. Easy enough for
anyone who can read and follow instructions. A good first project for someone with no experience. Hard
to mess up.
A little mechanical experience is helpful but not necessary. Possibly a good first project for those with
a little more confidence. Will probably take more time (20-60 minutes) than #2.
Mechanical experience a definite plus. Not a good first project for the inexperienced. Most likely a 2-3
hour job minimum.
Only for the experienced wrench. Most likely requires good tool collection, possibly special tools and
a fair amount of experience. 95% of people will choose to have this installed by Zip or a professional.
