To answer the need for an original-looking 1956-1957 fiberglass hood assembly there is now a process to fully finish the insides of traditional hand-laid products: Inside Finished Panel (IFP). These are significantly less expensive than the so-called "Press Molded" panels availablein the marketplace. When assembled with the appropriate bonding strips they are virtually identical in appearance to the original GM O.E.M. panels. One of the problems with "Press Molded" parts is they are much more brittle than O.E.M. and are proneto cracking during installation.
