Correct reproduction 1963 Hiperf Corvette oil dipstick. Chrome plated flat steeldipstick handle with the stamped "W" logo on the upper section of the blade. Includes correct "Engine Oil - Add - Full" fill marks (embossed-debossed blade), heat treated blade, correct length handle, proper semi-tubular rivets, metal cap and gray felt seal for connection to oil dipstick tube.
Black handle dipsticks were used on ALL 1963 early production Corvettes including base motor and Hiperf applications. After the 2nd week of November 1962, 1963 Hiperf Corvettes came with chrome handled dipsticks. Chrome handle dipsticks are not polished chrome duplicating GM production standards at that time.
Note: Some new reproduction dipsticksmay fit very tightly into reproduction or original dipstick tubes - to create a smoother instalation or removal of the oil dipstick simply "flatten" the retaining spring by depressing in a vice until the desired tightness is achieved.
