Correct reproduction 1963 Corvette oil dipstick. Black flat steel dipstick handle with the stamped "W" logo. Includes correct "Engine Oil - Add - Full" fill marks (embossed - debossed blade), heat treated blade, correct length handle, proper semi-tubular rivets, metal cap and gray felt seal for connection to oil dipstick tube.
Black handle dipsticks were used on ALL 1963 early production Corvettes including base motor and Hiperf applications. After the 2nd week of November 1962, 1963 Hiperf Corvettes came with chrome handled dipsticks.
Note: Some new reproduction dipsticks may fit very tightly into reproduction or original dipstick tubes - to create a smoother installation or removal of the oil dipstick simply "flatten" the retaining spring by depressing in a vice until the desired tightness is achieved.
