Pre-Assembled multi-piece 1963 Corvette front ends are made with original style press molded panels. Press molded panels insure your Corvette will look s and fits correct. Front ends include installed header bar & bonding strips, headlight end reinforcements, and inner skirts with bonding strips. All panels and reinforcements are jig aligned and correct style rivets and bonding adhesive are used during assembly.
Note: Jig assembled front ends do not include the side fender panels installed as it's not possible to correctly install to your cowl with them in place.
Original 1963-1967 Corvette factory fiberglass panels were produced in molds that created a smooth surface on both the top and underside of the panel. To help keep your Corvette "all original", Zip offers as many press molded panels as available. Panels are manufactured to higher quality standards than hand laid panels using fiberglass and resin placed inside male and female molds, pressed together under high pressure and heat to ensure consistent thickness. Original panels are white, gray or black in color depending on year and do not have a gelcoat surface. Press molded panels require the use of bonding strips when installed.
This item ships via truck freight; freight charges will be incurred for this item separately from your other items. Installation difficulty: 4
Our technicians have determined that the installation difficulty level of this item is a 4 on a scale of 1-5. Read more about our install ratings here.
Almost no effort. Either snap on or plug and play. Probably no tools involved.
Simple installation with common tools. Probably less than 20 minutes for installation. Easy enough for
anyone who can read and follow instructions. A good first project for someone with no experience. Hard
to mess up.
A little mechanical experience is helpful but not necessary. Possibly a good first project for those with
a little more confidence. Will probably take more time (20-60 minutes) than #2.
Mechanical experience a definite plus. Not a good first project for the inexperienced. Most likely a 2-3
hour job minimum.
Only for the experienced wrench. Most likely requires good tool collection, possibly special tools and
a fair amount of experience. 95% of people will choose to have this installed by Zip or a professional.
