Notes: Zip's water pump rebuild kit is designed for "short" water pumps found on Corvettes. 1965 396 Corvette big block water pumps feature a 5/8" pulley hub shaft. Flange includes both large and small diameter bolt hole patterns depending on application and pulley. Requires the use of a small shop press to complete rebuild. Parts will not interchange with original internal parts - to rebuild the water pump you must use all the parts in the kit as they are designed to work together. Includes stamped steel impeller rather than the original style cast iron impeller for improved cooling system performance. 1965 396 Corvette water pump rebuild kits include 1/4-20 slotted machine screws for backplate attachment as original.
